Feature Requests for Messages

I have a couple of requests for messages not new, as I have seen them elsewhere, but I wanted to add my two cents.
1. Allow us to sort messages on the fly by title, poster, last replier, date created, or date of most recent comment.
2. Provide the ability to close a message or, since we use categories for open/close/on hold, allow us to set that only messages from a particular category (such as open) are shown when you first click the messages tab.
